IT’S ALL GOOD  and it’s getting better !! 

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED for easy and fun jobs starting  right now, but the “ big push “ for humanpower  begins Thursday morning June 12.  

 

ASAP -  Need volunteers to:

   - contact various Upper Keys restaurants / grocery stores for 

   - specific food donations.  

   - place order for two sheet cakes

   - make copies and collate handouts

   - run errands as needed

   - make name tags

 

Thursday June 12 -  9:00 AM – Noon ?? –Burton Memorial Church – wash dishes, set up tables, decorate, etc.

 

Friday June 13–  Noon - Burton Memorial Church – help with food prep. Pick up food donations from various grocery stores, restaurants, etc.  Last minute assistance.

 

Friday June 13 – 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM  -Treasure Village Montessori – prepare the school for Peace Academy, move small furniture, hang signs, set up exhibits, hang peace flags.

 

Friday June 13 - 5:00 – 7:30 PM Burton Memorial Church – work at check-in desk, Peace Academy Registration Desk, Sales desk.  Help with buffet service. After Lama Migmar’s speech, need a CLEAN UP CREW from 9:00 – 10:00 PM.

 

SATURDAY , June 14 –  8:45 – 10:15 AM – Treasure Village Montessori -  Help coordinate Flag Day Ceremony / Raising and Blessing of Peace Flags

 

10:15 AM – 4:00 PM  -  Help coordinate the PEACE ACADEMY – work the registrar’s desk, sell books and items, run errands, answer questions, etc. ( One hour shifts will allow you time to attend 3 of  the 4  scheduled sessions.)

 

4:00 – 5:00 PM – CLEAN UP CREW

 

SUNDAY  June 15 -  Peace Paddle -A day of rest and celebration on the water !!  Kayak Dove Creek and the Ocean.  Shaded pontoon boat, with refreshments, will be anchored just offshore from Dove Creek. 

TREASURER NEEDED: I am looking for a trustworthy person to be the Treasurer of KEYS TO PEACE.    He/ she will be really busy the next 3 weeks and after that things will slow down quite a bit  until  the Peace Academy reconvenes in September. HELP !!Let me know if you know someone who would be interested. If they don’t want to be the official treasurer on the bank account or the corporate documents,  I will deposit and write checks.   For right now, I need someone to simply open envelopes  and  keep a record of checks received for June 13 dinner and June 14 Peace Academy.  I am waiting for the right person to come  give me a call  THIS WEEKEND !!In peace – Denise619-0534
